This has been announced today, 17 June 2016, in the framework of a presentation of the results of the national rating of the investment climate in the subjects of the Russian Federation, which, like last year, takes place at the site of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF – 2016). The Republic of Tatarstan is recognized as the absolute leader in the investment rating among Russian regions.
The results of the rating were announced by CEO of the Autonomous nonprofit organization “Agency for strategic initiatives on promotion of new projects” Andrey Nikitin. He also said that the survey involved more than 400 thousand entrepreneurs from across the country.
The event was attended by more than 50 governors of Russian regions. President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Artyom Zdunov took part in the panel session from the Republic of Tatarstan.
According to the rating, the Republic of Tatarstan is among the top ten regions-leaders, providing the most favorable investment conditions for business. The top ten also includes Moscow, Belgorod, Kaluga, Tula, Tyumen, Vladimir region, Krasnodar Krai, the Chuvash Republic and Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District.
The national rating of the state of the investment climate in the subjects of the Russian Federation allows entrepreneurs to assess the efforts of the regional authorities on creation of favorable conditions for doing business. Regions are evaluated on a five-point grading system from the best to the worst: Unsustainable, Moderate, Improving, Comfortable and Supportive. The analysis among the regions is carried out in four areas: “A” (“Regulatory Environment”), “B” (“Institutes for Business”), “C” (“Infrastructure and Resources”), “D” (“Support of small and medium-sized businesses”).
ВIn 2015, the Republic of Tatarstan became leader region, which provided the most favorable conditions for entrepreneurial and investment activities in accordance with the results of the National rating in the framework of St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2015.
