Venture Fund Pulsar Venture Capital announced in March 2016 the launch of the international acceleration program to support the Russian innovative companies. The strategic partner of the program will be Almaz Capital. Almaz experts will participate in working with companies from the IT industry, becoming mentors for some of the teams in the accelerator. In addition, representatives of Almaz Capital will be included in the selection committee of the project; it was reported by CNews in Pulsar Venture Capital.
According to the Fund, the companies participating in the program will receive investment up to 8 million rubles from the organizers and the opportunity to raise up to €1 million from global partners of the accelerator. 15 selected teams will receive individual mentors; will learn the program of accelerator in Kazan, Moscow, Dublin (Ireland) and Silicon Valley (USA).

Applications for participation in the accelerator are accepted at the program website until 3 April 2016. The selection of technology companies takes place in two stages. At the first stage the organizers will select 50 companies from among the submitted applications to the website of the accelerator; the expert council selects innovative projects to participate in the personal presentation of the project to the members of the jury. The main criteria for the selection of innovative companies at this stage are the expert assessments of members of the jury of the commercialization potential of projects and investment attraction, explained in the Fund.
At the second stage, the experts will select up to 15 companies for further participation in the program in Kazan, Dublin and Silicon Valley. Representatives of Almaz Capital will participate in the selection of projects in the Kazan Venture Fair. Some of the participants will receive a separate invitation from the accelerator NDRC to pass a six-month NDRC Catalyser program. The selected companies will participate in the phase of the acceleration program in Silicon valley, USA In September 2016.
According to the information of Pulsar Venture Capital, companies can participate in the program working in the following areas: IT, new instrument systems, petrochemical technology, biotechnology, medicine of the future, industrial technologies and new materials.
The organizer of the accelerator is Pulsar Venture Capital with strategic partnership of Almaz Capital; co-organizers are the Investment and Venture Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Russian Venture Company (RVC), the Russian Venture Capital Association (RVCA) and the Foundation for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises in the scientific and technical sphere (FASIE). In addition, partners are the NDRC and Enterprise Ireland. Also the acceleration program is supported by “Innopolis”, the Internet Initiatives Development Fund (IIDF), Technopark of Novosibirsk Akademgorodok and more than 20 Russian and international participants of the venture market.
