The program aims to create new and support existing small innovative companies seeking to develop and master the production of new goods, products, technologies or services with the use of the results of own scientific, technical and technological research.
“Idea-1000” is implemented in the framework of the contest “The Fifth Best Innovative Ideas for the Republic of Tatarstan” and is held on the following thematic areas:
- information technology;
- medicine of the future;
- modern materials and technologies of its creation;
- new devices and hardware systems;
- biotechnology.
Since 2015 there has been changed the requirements for submission of applications for participation in the “Idea-1000”, as well as the terms of participation in the nominations.
The nomination “Youth Innovation Project” has been derived from the program and has been included in the contest “The Fifth Best Innovative Ideas for the Republic of Tatarstan”. In addition, to participate in the nomination “Youth Innovation Project” is only allowed for the winners of the finals of the qualifying competitions, accredited by the Foundation for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises in the scientific and technical sphere (FASIE), on the nomination of U.M.N.I.K.

The Program is currently held in two nominations “Start-1” and “Start-2”.
The category “Start-1” is for projects of “seed” stage. The winners will receive funding of up to 2 million rubles.
The category “Start-2” is for the projects of the winners of the nomination “Start-1”. The winners will get the opportunity of financing of the project up to 4 million rubles.
