Today, residents of Nanograd, which was full of work and creativity in Saransk from 29 June to 8 July, are going to their homes. It was the fifth page in the history of the city of high technology and great people. Born in 2011 in Penza, the city Nanograd settled in Kazan, Moscow, Togliatti, and this year - in Saransk. In these cities were crystallized ideas in the field of design, music, programming, from which later grew the whole art directions and operating systems.
The city Nanograd, the Summer School “Nanograd”, owes its existence to the Program “School League of RUSNANO”, initiated in 2011 by the Supervisory Board of the Foundation for Infrastructure and Educational Programs (RUSNANO). The Program creates a network community that brings together representatives of secondary schools, business, science and production. Today it is 479 schools, more than 25,000 teachers, more than 100 federal experts and more than 20,000 users of the portal.
One of the central events of the Program is the Summer School “Nanograd”. The event takes place with the use of modern educational and gaming technologies; participants receive additional education in the field of natural sciences and fundamentals of nanotechnology and are introduced to the business activity in in the nanotechnology industry. As noted by CEO of Innovative Technopark “Idea” Sergey Yushko, School League of RUSNANO is a project which is making a serious career-oriented work with children.
“It is important for the industry and for the development of a specialist to ensure that students have discussed not only the general theory, but have studied real practical examples, such as the activities of industrial enterprises or particular implementation of the projects of RUSNANO. Examples of modern companies allow students to examine in more detail the specifics of the industry. I am sure that the participants of the Summer School will improve their knowledge and skills, and in the future will become outstanding representatives of the innovation community”,- said Sergey Yushko.
Nanograd’s residents had the opportunity to do an internship in real Russian companies, working in the field of business innovation, nanotechnologies and nanomaterials. This is 10 companies, including Innovative Technopark “Idea”, its resident - company “Eidos”, Technopolis “Himgrad”, Technopark-Mordovia, Rosatom and others. Within the framework of the youth city, these companies were merged into a Corporation “Gragnano”.
The most important document that was received in the hands of each trainee in the Corporation was a case, composed of materials of the company. This is not game, but the real information, compiled for the trainee was able to participate in the company’s life and help it solve particular problem. During the internship in the companies residents of Nanograd even received a salary in the local currency of Nanograd.
350 people from 23 regions of Russia presented their solution of the cases.
Technopark “Idea” and resident of Technopark - the company “Eidos” - presented to the trainees a case “Robot-patient”. The guys had to develop a variant of the minimization of production costs of some small parts of the control unit of the tool used in the process of performing laparoscopic surgery. In addition, the trainees have developed a strategy of entering the foreign market, product promotion taking into account the suspicious relation to the Russian brand.

Group of companies “Eidos” was founded in 2010 and currently is undertaking the development of robotic equipment and production simulators.
“Eidos-Medicine” is a Russian startup, the country's only manufacturer of virtual medical simulators. At the moment the company has developed a number of domestic innovative medical training complexes, and its characteristics are not inferior to foreign analogues.
The company is the initiator of the project of the Regional Engineering Center of medical simulators “Center for Medical Science” in the city of Kazan, approved by the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
