Today Science Adviser of the State Council of the Republic of Cuba Fidel Castro Diaz-Balart has visited Innovative Technopark “Idea” with working visit. He became acquainted with the activities of Technopark and Nanotechnology Center of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Doctor of Science Fidel Castro Diaz-Balart is well-known Cuban intellectual who has published numerous works in the field of physics, nuclear energy, nanotechnology and knowledge management.
In Technopark the guest was told about the stages of “Idea’s” formation, about the experience of working with investors and the characteristics of attracting large companies in Technopark.
Head of the Department of External Relationship and PR Evgeniy Malikov reported that over 11 years of work in Technopark were established more than 7,500 jobs and more than 450 companies had the opportunity of localization. The annual turnover on the site of Technopark “Idea” in 2014, taking into account the extraterritorial residents, amounted 8,108 billion rubles, including nearly 2.9 billion rubles - the volume of nanotechnological products. Today, some of the residents of Technopark “Idea” are the largest companies in the medical and robotic clusters of SKOLKOVO, and the anchor residents of “Idea” are in the TOP 10 of world’s largest brands.
Fidel Castro Diaz-Balart said about under construction in Cuba Technopark, which will specialize in bio-and nanotechnology.
Having studied the experience of Technopark, the guest invited colleagues to discuss the possibilities of further cooperation in this area.
The particular interest of Fidel Castro Diaz-Balart was caused by the activities of the Nanotechnology Center RT. Technical Director of the Center Igor Kossko told about the equipment and plans for the future. Following the meeting, the guest informed about activities in the field of nanotechnology, held in Cuba, and invited colleagues to one of these events - V International Workshop on Nanoscience and Nanotechnologies (Havana).
