During the selection of the best school projects, developed in the Centers for Youth Innovative Creativity (CYIC), Tatarstan and Samara schoolchildren told about how to make electronic guitar from a shovel, how to develop a project for prosthetic fingers and extremities of hands in the school. The selection took place on March 4, 2015 at the Kazan IT-Park and was part of the regional stage of the All-Russian Startup Tour 2015.
To the jury, which consisted of the Head of the project “Creation of the Network of Centers for Youth Innovative Creativity in Tatarstan”, Director of the Laser Center of the Republic of Tatarstan Nikolai Nasonov, Head of the Department of Innovative Programs Development of Technopark “Idea” Farida Gainullina and General Director of LLC “Rezhim Turbo” Sergey Korshunov, was filed on 11 projects. The jury evaluated the projects based on criteria such as innovation, commercial and social perspective.
Schoolboy from Lyceum No. 2 of Mamadysh city Airat Safin together with classmates presented a 3D designer, created using laser cutting. Assembled model-designer develops motor skills, logic and three-dimensional thinking.
“Toys are recognized as safe for children and also it is 2 times cheaper than the existing counterparts. Due to the good quality and low price our toys are available to all” - said the boys.
Schoolchildren of Lyceum No. 5 of Kazan Rushaniya Nizamieva and Olga Glebasheva explained about how the student can print his favorite character on 3D-printer.
“When viewing the animated film “The Cold Heart”, we fuse in the heart of the character Olaf, as he is extremely positive, charismatic and kind. And so we decided to take it as the basis for making New Year souvenir”, - said the schoolgirls.
For the work Rushaniya and Olga used 3D-printer, LEDs, paint, wires, battery and tools (knife, sandpaper, a soldering iron).
“The work result was the Olaf presented on the selection. - This year is anniversary, the 210th anniversary of Hans Christian Andersen. And on this date, April 2, 1805, we decided to make a statuette of Thumbelina. This work is still in the process, but we can present an approximate result”, - said Olga Glebasheva.
According to the results of selection the project “Electronic makiavara”, developed by students of CYIC “Idea” Ainur Gainetdinov and Timur Khasanshin, was recognized as the best. The project is aimed at the .organization and promotion on the market of simulators for measuring and developing functional qualities of the athletes (response, power, speed) in the martial arts.
Second place went to the project “Table of optical experiments”, designed to demonstrate the laser experiments. Every detail of the device has been made by the authors of the project - Elena Ovchinnikova and Roman Lisin in the CYIC “Idea”. Plastic products and body have been printed on 3D-printer.
“Today, we can carry out 15 experiments designed to demonstrate the school-age children, - said Roman Lisin. - Experiments allow to accurately and clearly explain the principles of operation of the laser beam, on which is based the operation of the laser equipment”.
Third place was won by the project “Prosthetic fingers and extremities of hands”, prepared by the students of Drozhzhanovsky district.
According to Nikolai Nasonov, CYIC section in the framework of the regional stage of the All-Russian Startup Tour 2015 take place for the second time. There grow a number of quality and quantity of the projects, to the same each time, the projects become more complicated.
“Do not stand still and active Kazan youth who proposes to hold their classes and workshops for children, - says Nikolai Nasonov. - To support these initiatives CYIC “Idea” goes to a second round of funding for completion of the directions of electronics, robotics, prototyping”.

CYIC is the center of children's creativity of a new generation with modern universal prototyping equipment, which can be used simultaneously from 10 to 15 people. Laser engravers, 3D scanners, milling machines and 3D printers allow to quickly getting the layouts of parts of any complexity in dimension. The first opening of CYIC in Russia took place on February 27, 2013 in Kazan in Innovative Technopark “Idea”. Tatarstan became one of the 13 regions, in which were created more than 30 CYIC. Today in the republic there are 10 centers located in Kazan, Zelenodolsk, Chistopol, Leninogorsk, Bugulma, Naberezhnye Chelny, in Drozhzhanoe and Bogatye Saby rural areas.
Since the opening the Tatarstan centers have been visited by about 5,500 children. Schoolchildren and students have the opportunity to realize their ideas on modern universal equipment. As part of the activities in CYIC there has already appeared the first company created by students. The children have constructed the 3d-printer and are involved in its promotion.
In 2013 in the framework of a summer school camp “Technopark Saby” students of CYIC developed and installed on a special platform prototype of “Duck farm”, intended for the supply of water and feed to the birds. The installation is a unique invention of schoolchildren, collected from various parts and electronic components. Special weight and humidity sensors allow, if necessary, to supply water and food in trays of the “farm”.
Another school project “Robotic manipulator-prosthetic device”, developed by Kazan senior pupil, became the winner of the X Anniversary Competition “50 Best Innovative Ideas for the Republic of Tatarstan” in the nomination “Perspective”.
