Technopark “Idea” was created in the framework of the overall national strategy of ridding of Tatarstan economy from the notorious “hydrocarbon dependence” and its transition to an innovative way of development.
With our participation at the site of Technopark and in Kazan were successfully launched several Federal programs: Federal Business Incubator; Technopark in the sphere of high technologies, which gave impetus to the creation of IT-Park and Technopolis “Himgrad”; Nanotechnology Center; and Center for Youth Innovative Creativity.
For 11 years of our work in Technopark were established more than 7,500 jobs and more than 450 companies had the opportunity of localization. Today, some of the residents of Technopark “Idea” are the largest companies in the medical and robotic clusters of SKOLKOVO, and the anchor residents of “Idea” are in the TOP 10 of world’s largest brands.
Our graduate companies are competitive in the global market, and supply high-tech equipment of its own production to the markets of Europe and the United States. 10% of natural gas in Europe is sold through metering, designed by the resident companies of Technopark.
End users of “Idea” resident’s services are the customers of more than 40 multinational brands.
We are pleased to know that many resident companies of Technopark created by the graduates, and often students of the leading universities, our partners, such as the Kazan Federal (Volga region) University (KFU), the Kazan National Research Technical University (KNRTU-KAI) and the Kazan National Research Technological University (KNRTU-KSTU). Also, the students of these universities have the opportunity of training and practice in the resident companies with further employment.
In 2014 there were created 54 new companies and 555 new jobs in “Idea”.
The annual turnover on the site of Technopark “Idea” in 2014, taking into account the extraterritorial residents, amounted 8,108 billion rubles, including nearly 2.9 billion rubles - the volume of nanotechnological products. Budgetary effect of the uniform social tax and personal income tax in 2014 amounted to 59 million rubles.
For 11 years of our work 1.36 billion rubles in the form of taxes have received in the budget of the Republic.
The work of created innovative infrastructure needs constant monitoring and evaluation of its effectiveness. For this purpose, there was identified the key performance indicators of Technopark, based on indicators of the world’s oldest European Business and Innovation Centre Network (EBN).
Becoming the full member of the European Network in 2010, Technopark for three years was the only Russian Technopark accredited in EBN. In 2013, Technopark of Novosibirsk Akademgorodok and Krasnoyarsk Regional Innovation and Technology Business Incubator (KRITBI) became full members of EBN with the participation of Technopark “Idea”, and Technopark “Idea” made the list of the Top 15 European Business and Innovation Centers. In January 2015, with the assistance of “Idea” the full member of EBN also has received Technopark of Yugra.
We thank our shareholders (OJSC “RUSNANO”, Non-profit organization “Investment and Venture Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan”, OJSC “Tatneftekhiminvest-holding”, the Fund for Infrastructure and Educational Programs of RUSNANO” (FIEP)) and partners for the fact that 11 years of work with their participation, brought fame Tatarstan innovative infrastructure both in Russia and in the international arena, and the Republic has traditionally been a driving force for innovative development of Russia.
