Technopark “Idea” for the fourth time confirmed the status of the full member of the European Business and Innovation Centre Network (EBN). According to the results of the activities and by a number of parameters “Idea” is superior to its foreign partners. Compared with the average member of EBN, the residents of “Idea” have created in 6 times more new jobs and in comparison with the Russian technoparks - EBN members - 1.2 times during 2014.
The European Business and Innovation Centre Network (EBN) is the leading European Network, bringing together 153 innovative infrastructures in 37 countries. Membership in EBN will allow residents of Technopark - small and medium-sized innovative companies - to take a more active part in the European innovative programs, to attract to the development of the Technopark additional sources of funding.
All members of the community annually submit a report on the activities in the EBN Qualification Committee. According to the results of the BIC Questionnaire, the experts of the European Network compare the efficiency of Business and Innovation Centers and confirm or deny full membership. Confirmation of the status of the full member suggests that all requirements relating to the work of BIC, followed by Technopark in full, and it corresponds to European standards.
In 2014 EBN Qualification Committee has made great efforts to improve the Questionnaire. At the end of last year, it was introduced a new form of monitoring performance criteria of Business and Innovation Centers - members of EBN. Now each organization – a member of the Association in online can compare its performance with the results of other members of the Network for the year.
Recall that from 2010 Technopark “Idea” is the member of EBN and accredited Business and Innovation Centre EC-BIC (European Community Business and Innovation Centre). Since that time, there is annually held monitoring key performance indicators of Technopark activities on the single European standards.
Technopark “Idea” is actively implementing the experience of global best practices through the performance assessment tools used by the European Network for Russian technoparks. Becoming the full member of the European Network in 2010, Technopark for three years was the only Russian Technopark accredited in EBN. In 2013, Technopark of Novosibirsk Akademgorodok and Krasnoyarsk Regional Innovation and Technology Business Incubator (KRITBI) became full members of EBN with the participation of Technopark “Idea”, and Technopark “Idea” made the list of the Top 15 European Business and Innovation Centers. In January 2015, with the assistance of “Idea” the full member of EBN also has received Technopark of Yugra.
