These days experts of the Environment, Science, Technology & Health (ESTH) Section at the U.S. Embassy in Moscow Mark Mayer and Larisa Filimonova study Tatarstan innovation potential.
Technopark “Idea” CEO Sergey Yushko and Director of Innovation Oleg Ibragimov told the guests about the Technopark’s cooperation with the European Business & Innovation Centre Network (EBN). Mark Mayer and Larisa Filimonova were especially interested in the creation of Russian technoparks network accredited in EBN. For the third year in a row, Technopark “Idea” is an accredited member of EBN and actively implements the best practices of technoparks through the assessment tools of performance indicators used by EBN for Russian technoparks. This year Technopark of Novosibirsk Akademgorodok and Krasnoyarsk Regional Innovation and Technology Business Incubator have been accredited in the European Network with the participation of Technopark “Idea” as well.
During the visit Mark Mayer and Larisa Filimonova took part in the Scientific Workshop “Practical Aspects for the Implementation of International Educational Programs” held in Technopark “Idea” on December 11-13, 2013. Mark Mayer spoke about the U.S. international educational programs and opportunities offered to both: students and university lecturers.
In IT-Park the guests were presented Tatarstan IT-infrastructure, projects of Business Incubator’s residents and told about the aspects of electronic public services. Mark Mayer expressed his admiration for the work of professionals who have joined public services provided by various agencies and ministries on one portal.
Also, the representatives of the U.S. Embassy in Moscow were introduced to the infrastructure project – created in cooperation with JSC “RUSNANO” – Nanotechnology Centre.
The delegation of the U.S. Embassy in Moscow arrived in Kazan yesterday. The guests will also attend higher educational institutions as well as communicate with the representatives of the Academy of Sciences.
