Finalists of the second Republican Contest of Youth Innovative Projects: “Innovation Polygon 2013 “Tatarstan – the territory of the future” took part in the Business Day in Technopark “Idea”. Children attended master classes on business planning, the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, presentation skills, they familiarized with success stories of Technopark’s resident companies.
The event, held on November 30, was attended by 34 teams from seven districts of the Republic of Tatarstan.
CEO of “Eidos” Lenar Valeev, a resident of Technopark “Idea”, told the finalists about the development aspects of the international innovative company. Successful entrepreneur explained that the Company started its activity with the development of KAMAZ training simulators, and then was engaged in the production of medical simulators. The Company’s experts are currently engaged in the manufacture of a third-generation robot capable to scan and delete stamps defects.
Lenar Valeev dispelled the children’s doubts that they need a huge amount of money for the beginning of their business.
The children were especially interested in the fact that Eidos is a resident of Skolkovo. Lenar Valeev explained that it is not necessary to move to the Moscow area to become a resident of Skolkovo. It is enough to defend your project to the Skolkovo contest and obtain resident status, as well as tax benefits.
Head of “Marabaka” Andrey Matveev shared the secrets of a successful presentation, and told about his project - children's educational brand, which includes the application of interactive assembly instructions “Assembling of interesting things with your own hands”.
Head of Kazan Junior Achievement Centre Lyalya Bikchentaeva also held a master class on the Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship in the course of the Business Day.
The Business Day’s master classes and presentations were followed by practical trainings in the Youth Innovation Creativity Centre “Idea” and Tatarstan Laser Centre. Here the children on their own engraved their names on pens, created models in a special program, drew a laser and cut stickers. They were personally convinced that working with complex digital equipment was available even to children.
To the point, the second Republican Contest of Youth Innovative Projects: “Innovation Polygon “Tatarstan – the territory of the future 2013” was launched in May, 2013. The Contest is held to raise students’ interest in the research, and is the first to provide the children with the opportunity to develop the existing business model.
The Contest involved upper students of secondary schools as well as students of Kazan and Tatarstan universities at the age of 14-17, students of the first-second courses of the RT universities. The Contest’s areas are as follows: materials of the future, future technologies, future communications and environment of the future.
The Contest consists of four rounds from May to December, 2013, and includes theoretical training course “Fundamentals of business planning”, “Major trends in modern science”, “Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship” in the FSBEI HPE “KNRTU”, project work, teamwork within the Business Day (workshops, master classes) and project defense at final stage to venture investors as well. The winners will be announced in the following categories: “Best Innovation Project”, “Best Innovative Idea”, “Best innovative solution”.
