Today the aspects of cooperation with the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation have been discussed by representatives of Tatarstan companies and institutions. The meeting was held in Kazan IT-Park under the leadership of Deputy Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation, Colonel-General Oleg Ostapenko. The discussion was also attended by Head of the Main Department of Advanced Technologies Research and Technology Support of the RF Ministry of Defense Alexander Ivanov, Deputy Head of the Main Department of Advanced Technologies Research and Technology Support of the RF Ministry of Defense Sergey Stolyarov, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Information and Communication of the Republic of Tatarstan Roman Shaikhutdinov, IT-Park Director Anton Grachev, CEO of Technopark “idea” Sergey Yushko and other officials.
Oleg Ostapenko at the round table discussion noted that it was his second arrival in Tatarstan in the last two months. During the first visit, he got acquainted with the activities of Tatarstan developers. They told the Deputy Minister of their first activity results and discussed the prospects of cooperation. In particular, Company “Eidos”, a resident of Technopark “Idea” and remote resident of Business incubator of Kazan IT-Park, jointly with experts of the Ministry of Defense had already identified four projects on which both parties were willing to cooperate. One of the projects was the use of auto-simulator “AUTOTRAINER” - the KAMAZ dynamic driving simulator for the Ministry of Defense. As explained by Deputy General Director of Company "Eidos" Lenar Valejev the training center equipped with KAMAZ, had already started its activity in Naberezhnye Chelny. The auto simulator would also be tested in three institutes of the Ministry of Defense of Russia.
The importance of such auto simulators "KAMAZ" was stressed by Oleg Ostapenko as well. “Simulators need to be maximum efficient and cheap”, - said the Colonel-General.
In the course of the meeting General Director of the RT Nanotechnology Centre Dmitry Pashin told about the first results of cooperation, Director of Higher School of Information Technologies and Systems Airat Khasyanov made proposals and expressed his willingness to cooperate, representatives from KNRTU-Kazan State Technical University named after A.N. Tupolev identified possible areas of cooperation.
Oleg Ostapenko arrived in Tatarstan last night. He was met by Director of Kazan IT-Park Anton Grachev at the International airport "Kazan". Today, Colonel-General during his working trip has visited Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University and the second All-Russian Junior Judo Tournament. During the day, Oleg Ostapenko will be get acquainted with the activities of Polymer Institute of Kazan National Research Technological University.
