The Chairman of the People’s Republic of China Hu Jintao visited the Exhibition of innovative and manufacturing potential of the Republic of Tatarstan.

On March 28, 2007 the delegation of the People’s Republic of China headed by the Chairman of China Hu Jintao visited Kazan international equestrian centre “KAZAN” in the framework of the working visit to the Republic of Tatarstan. The Chinese leader was accompanied by the President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev and the Prime-minister of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.

Tatarstan’s leading producers TATNEFT, Nizhnekamskneftechim, Tatenergo, Kazanorgsintez and others showed their achievements at the Exhibition of innovative and manufacturing potential of the Republic ofTatarstan. Many of them have an active cooperation withChina.

The Director-General of Technopark “Idea” Sergey Yushko presented the group of companies of Technopark and spoke about the experience of innovative development of theRepublic of Tatarstan. A number of implemented and some promising projects, including production of dry gas-dynamic compactions, one of the elements of which (hardmetal blade) is supplied from China, were exhibited.

The Chinese delegation showed great interest in two-seater aircraft КАI-81 “Golden Eagle”, intended for farm work, patrolling different territories and highways, communications and transport of freight in state of emergency. Most questions referred to the methods of using this aircraft in agriculture.

The mobile electronic fixator of punches for fencing, which was successfully tested and at present time is introduced in competitions of different level, also interested the delegation. In the nearest future this project will be put on the international market, in particular it is planned to be used in Olympic Games, which will take place in China in 2008.

The capital of Tatarstan was the only city in Russia afterMoscow, where Hu Jintao came during his visit. That emphasizes great interest of Chinese People's Republic in further cooperation with the Republic of Tatarstan, in economic and cultural reinforcement between two countries.
