Students of the Youth Innovation Creativity Centre “Idea” presented a new 3D-printer model (NOVA) at the Russia’s largest Festival dedicated to the high technology – Geek Picnic, which was held in St. Petersburg. The Festival, held in Elagin island, was attended by 20 thousand people.
The Third Оpen-air Geek Picnic, dedicated to the high technology, the arts and sciences was conditionally divided into 5 areas: technology, science, art, picnic and expo.
Tatarstan students presented their developments in the “Technology” area.
The 3D-printer “NOVA”, differing from the existing models in high printing speed, metal case, high quality as well as the simplicity and ease of use, was highly appreciated by representatives of both Russian and foreign companies.
The 3D-printer is currently in the capital of Russia, where it is inspected by the leading Moscow Engineering Company.
At present, the activity on the development of first 3D-printers batch is in progress. There are the first customers. According to developers, the order schedules are about 1.5-2 months. The second batch is expected to reduce the production period to 1 month.
In addition, Tatarstan developers are engaged in the study of the aspects of the production (synthesis) of various prototyping consumables.
