Today the activity of Innovative Technopark “Idea”, the developments of experts of Nanotechnology Centre of the Republic of Tatarstan, scientists of Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University and Kazan National Research Technical University (KNRTU-KAI) have been presented to Deputy Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation, Colonel-General Oleg Ostapenko. The guest has visited Technopark in the company of the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Muratov.
The head of the Department of External Relations and PR Evgeniy Malikov told Oleg Ostapenko about the “Idea” history, favourable accommodation terms for residents, as well as projects being developed at Technopark.
Colonel-General to his questions about the chosen business model “Idea” and its budget dotation has been explained that it was based on the Scandinavian model. The model is that one platform localizes anchor residents on usual terms and small companies on favourable terms. In addition, since April 2007, Technopark has not been received funds from the budget for supporting its operating activity, and in 2010 the Company fully paid off for the state through tax deductions from the site. Annually, Technopark transfers from 150 to 180 million rubles to the republican budget through the Unified Social Tax and Tax on Individual Person’s Income.
Oleg Ostapenko in the course of his visit has been familiarized with infrastructure project developed jointly with JSC "RUSNANO" – the Nanotechnology Centre. The Center’s project activity has been presented by its General Director Dmitry Pashin. In particular, he presented the developments in medicine and the military as well.
Speakers at the round table have discussed the possibility of applying the developments of Tatarstan scientific school representatives in the military and defence sectors. Oleg Ostapenko, after reviewing the project, proposed to develop dialogue and cooperation. “If samples exist, you should submit it to the authority. We will study and will carry out a comparative description”, - said the Colonel-General about one of the projects.
Oleg Ostapenko arrived in Kazan last night. Today, during the visit, he has got acquainted with the activities of IT-Park. The guest will also visit the future IT-Innopolis city.
