On June 17-18, CEO of Technopark “Idea” Sergey Yushko visited Technopark of Novosibirsk Akademgorodok as a member of the Audit Committee of the European Business & Innovation Centre Network (EBN). The Committee was headed by the EBN Auditor Giordano Dichter. The guests arrived in Novosibirsk to conduct an audit of Technopark.
Technopark of Novosibirsk may be the third accredited EC-BIC - a member of European Business & Innovation Centre Network in the Russian Federation. Technopark “Idea” became a full member of EBN in 2010, and Krasnoyarsk Regional Innovation and Technology Business Incubator – in 2013.
The evaluating of performance efficiency of Novosibirsk Akademgorodok required the comparison of indicators with the data of innovative infrastructure in Russia. The Technopark “Idea” indicators were taken as a basis, since it is the first accredited EC-BIC in the Russian Federation and a full member of EBN since 2010.
The audit experts gave a high rating to the start-ups support system formed in the Akademgorodok, but also identified a number of indicators that need to be improved in quantitative and qualitative terms for full compliance with the requirements of ЕС-BIC Qualification Committee.
To the point, Technopark “Idea” actively implements the best practices of technoparks through the assessment tools of performance indicators used by EBN for Russian technoparks. This Technopark’s activity attracts more and more attention of foreign colleagues. In particular, the Secretary General of the Assembly of European Regions Pascal Goergen during his visit to Technopark gave a positive evaluation to the Technopark’s experience and emphasized the reasonability of the preparation and implementation of joint EBN and AIRR programs for small innovative companies support and assured of his assistance.
