Director of the Department of Small and Medium Business and Competition of the RF Ministry of Economic Development Natalia Larionova visited Technopark “Idea” on April the 25th, 2013.
The Technopark was also attended by Executive Director of the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia Ivan Bortnik and Head of the Executive Public Organization “Youth Innovative Russia” (YIR) Anna Bukhalo. The guests familiarized with the activity of the Youth Innovation Creativity Centre “Idea” and participated in the round table discussion “Creation and development of Youth Innovation Creativity Centres Network in the Russian Federation”.
Technical Director of Technopark Nickolay Nasonov told the guests about the activity and potential of the YICC “Idea” and reported that as of today the YICC has the equipment allowing schoolchildren and students to produce a variety of items: from rulers to moulages of rare museum pieces and single building model. “A universal equipment that can be used from 10 to 15 persons at one time”, - said Nickolay Nasonov.
Prospects for the development of the YICC Network in the Russian Federation was discussed by the guests during the Round table which was also attended by students of higher education institutions, representatives of YICCs of Moscow, St. Petersburg and Krasnoyarsk.
Natalia Larionova in her opening speech stressed the importance of the creation of Youth Innovation Creativity Centres in Russia. “YICC is a unique wide-scale project, designed for the modern Russian schoolchildren, and we have the burning desire to do it well,” - said Natalia Larionova and reported that this year, several other regions will be joined to the project.
Sergey Yushko informed the round table participants of YICCs activity in the Republic of Tatarstan. He reminded that Tatarstan has become one of the 13 regions of winners with localization of over 30 Youth Innovation Creativity Centres. Ten Centres are operated in the Republic, three centres of which are located in Kazan, by one in Zelenodolsk, Chistopol, Leninogorsk, Bugulma, Naberezhnye Chelny, in Drozhannoe and Bogatye Saby rural areas. According to Sergey Yushko all centres are equipped with necessary modern universal equipment that can be used for both: educational and commercial purposes.
The need to involve young people in the research and science was stressed by Ivan Bortnik in his speech. According to him, schoolchildren and students in YICCs are provided with the opportunity to design and produce items they need. “But it is important that the models created by the students were operating,” - said Ivan Bortnik.
At the completion of the round table discussion Nickolay Nasonov arranged a tour of YICC “Idea” for students where they were familiarized with production characteristics of some items and specifics of the Centre.
