The delegation of Tatarstan visited the largest Center of scientific researches and technologies (CERT) in the Near East.

In Ministry RT was summed up the results of recent visit of republican delegation to the United Arab Emirates within the limits of which it has visited the largest Center of scientific researches and technologies (CERT) in the Near East.

The delegation of Tatarstan at the head of Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov was personally invited by minister of higher education and scientific researches of the United Arab Emirates sheikh Nahajan Mabarek Al Nahajan. The structure of delegation consisted of the general director of Public Corporation " Kamaz " Sergey Kogogin, the general director of Public Corporation " Holding company Ak Bars " Ivan Egorov and the general director of Technopark " Idea " Sergey Yushko.

The central item of the program was visiting technopolis CERT (Centre of Excellence for Applied Research and Training), which was created at the direct support of the sheikh in 1996. CERT has been formed on the basis of theHighest Technological College of the United Arab Emirates as the commercial center of high technology projects.

CERT develops and realizes projects in sphere of education, medicine (in particular, oncology), information technologies, nanotechnologies (including desalination of the waters, alternative energy and genetic engineering) and others.

At the same time, CERT experts are engaged in preparation of the professional staff in the field of linguistics and business, and also state employees, whose work is closely interconnected with innovative activity.

In spite of existence of CERT for ten years already, the most significant results it has achieved during last three years, owing to the foreign hi-tech companies-partners. Cooperation with the world companies also has allowed the Center to accelerate development and to reach greater successes by means of realization of hi-tech innovative projects. Also the Fund for researches in nanotechnology sphere created by the company IBM and Venture fund CERT for making other innovative researches contributed to the success of the Center.

Such companies as Honeywell, Huawei, Shell, Vuepoint, IBM Schlumberger and others and also such universities, as MA Technological Institute, the Harvard University, University of Waterloo, New York Technological Institute and University Strathclyde became the partners of CERT.

One year ago CERT has exposed his shares at a stock exchange in Dubai. Future trends are investment at the London stock exchange for the further attraction of the investments directed on CERT infrastructure development.

The main aim of a trip was a detailed acquaintance with activity of a whole Center. Visitors studied interaction between the basic structures and CERT departments, basic principles of innovative projects selection and the professional staff preporation technique, where the basic bias is on design formation and language preparation. During first-second courses students comprehend bases of engineering sciences, then they independently think out projects and work on them during all period of training. Graduates receive money for researchers continuation and development realization.

As Sergey Yushko noted at the briefing in the Cabinet, the trip to the United Arab Emirates also actively promoted to the attraction of foreign partners for creation a technopark in sphere of high technologies according to the Federal program about creation Technoparks in sphere of high technologies in Russian Federation.
