On March 16, 2012, the round table discussion “Lean Management and Quality Control” was held in Technopark “Idea” within the Meeting Programme of the Industry Coordination Council established by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia.
The Round table was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan, Ministries and Agencies of St. Petersburg, the Republic of Bashkortostan, Stavropol Territory, Chelyabinsk, Sverdlovsk, Volgograd, Lipetsk and Orenburg Regions, JSC “United Aircraft Corporation”, Association of Enterprises and Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Tatarstan, Kazan State Technical University named after A.N. Tupolev, Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Naberezhnye Chelny and the region “Zakamye”, Federal State-Funded Institution “State Regional Center of Standardization, Metrology andTest in the Republic of Tatarstan”, the leading industrial enterprises in the Republic (JSC “KAMAZ”, JSC “ElAZ”, JSC “Kazan Motor Production Association”, JSC “Kazan Electrical Engineering Plant”, JSC “Production Association “Plant named by Sergo”, Federal Fiscal Enterprise “Kazan State Fiscal Powder Mill”, JSC “Plant “Elecon”, JSC “ALNAS” ).
Director of Strategic Development Department of the RF Ministry of Industry and Trade Nickolay Yu. Kutejev, Deputy Minister of the RT Ministry of Industry and Trade Gulnara Ch. Akhmadejeva addressed their opening speech to participants of the Round table.
The Round table participants shared experiences in implementation of the quality policy through the example of their enterprises, considered proposals for the development of efficient production systems and tasks for the implementation of lean manufacturing tools.

In October 31, 2011, the Industry Coordination Council was formed pursuant to the Order of the RF Ministry of Industry and Trade for a comprehensive and systematic development of interregional cooperation in the industrial sector, implementation of state policy of the native industry modernization and innovation development, increase the investment attractiveness of the Russian regions.
