III Nanotechnology International Forum RUSNANOTECH 2010, which opened on November 1, 2010 in the Central exhibition complex “Expocentre” in Moscow, brought together eminent scientists and representatives of business circles from every corner of the globe to discuss the future of innovative areas of economic, scientific and technological development.
During the s opening ceremony of the International Forum Deputy Prime Minister of RF Sergey Ivanov said that the supervisory board of state corporation “Rusnano” has already approved investment in 93 high technological projects with a total budget about 300 billion rubles over the three years of its operation. And on the volume of private investment in nanotechnological projects Russia was fourth in the world. Last year it was 17 billion rubles.
“Before our eyes there is a global market, where Russia meets with innovative world. On the forum dozens of projects from 35 regions of our country were presented. Here the past meets with the present and the future, and even komsomol meets with capitalism. Our country meets the future, welcome to the future of Russia”, - said the General director of RUSNANO Anatoly Chubais at the opening of the forum.
After the opening ceremony excursion of the regional pavilions was organized for the guests of the forum. This year more than 350 Russian and foreign companies from 13 countries – Austria, Great Britain, Germany, Iran, Israel, Netherlands, USA, Finland, France, Czech Republic, Switzerland and Japan – participated in the exhibition.
Within the framework of the exhibition the Russian and international companies have demonstrated unique products created using nanotechnology, and also samples of the equipment for the nanotechnology industry.
On the exhibition the Republic of Tatarstan was represented by united exposition which was divided into five thematic sections: “The concept of creation and development of nanotechnological center in Kazan on the basis of Technopark “Idea””, “Project of JSC “Tatneftekhiminvest-holding in the sphere of petrochemicals and biotechnology”, “Center for high technology of Kazan State Technical University named after A.N. Tupolev”, “Projects of scientific and educational institutes under the aegis of the Academy of Sciences of RT” and “The integrated program of project development of nanotechnology industry RT to 2015 year”.
During the view of Tatarstan exposition Anatoly Chubais has specified timing of the project of nanotechnology center, and also has asked about the stages of the supply of equipment for NC. General director of Technopark “Idea” Sergey Yushko told about the course of the project implementation to create nanotechnology center “Idea” in Kazan.
The relevant information content including 250 projects of enterprises and organizations of Tatartsan in the field of nanotechnology industry and biotechnology has been formed to content exposition and preparation of presentation distributing products.
The forum conference program was various. The participants discussed the innovative potential of Russian regions, the development of light-emitting diode industry, nanotechnology in the alternative energy, public health, electronics, telecommunications and much more.
During the forum also were plenary session, discussion of “Incentives and barriers to innovation” and work on sections. In addition, award of the International Prize in Nanotechnology Rusnanoprize-2010 and Russian Youth Award in the field of nanotechnology industry were held.
