The United Mexican States Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Russia Alfredo Perez Bravo visited Technopark “Idea”.

Days of Mexico and Mexican culture held on the basis of Kazan State Universityhas started 25^th of February, 2010 in Kazan. The United Mexican States Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Russia Alfredo Perez Bravo took part at the in the solemn opening of the event.

Days of Mexico are held in Kazan within the framework of celebrating the 200th anniversary of Mexico’s independence, the 100th anniversary of Mexican revolution and the 120th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations betweenMexico and Russia.

In his greeting speech, Alfredo Perez Bravo said that the choice of the Republicof Tatarstan was not accidental. Kazan became a first Russian city he had visited after taking the office of Mexico Ambassador to the Russian Federation; here he got a lot of colleagues, contributing to the promotion of Mexican culture in Russia and in the republic. In this regard, the Mexican Ambassador expressed gratitude to the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan and the head of KazanState University, on the basis of which these activities are organized.

The United Mexican States Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary toRussia visited Technopark “Idea” during Kazan business trip. Mr. Alfredo Perez Bravo expressed particular interest in the organizational structure of Technopark "Idea", its cooperation with universities and protection of intellectual property. Mr. Alfredo Perez Bravo also noticed that he visited many regions of Russian Federation, but first became acquainted with the innovation infrastructure such Technopark "Idea". The United Mexican States Ambassador congratulated the Director-General of Technopark "Idea" Sergey Yushko with the success of Technopark “Idea”.

On behalf of the United Mexican States the Second Secretary, Cultural Attaché at the Mexican Embassy in Russia Enoki de Santiago, the President of the association of foreign students and postgraduates of Kazan Hector Alejandro Cabrera Fuentes and the representative of Mexican enterprises in Tatarstan Republic José Luis also participated in the event.
