Mr. Philip Macdon was appointed to the position of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ireland in the Russian Federation in August, 2009.
During the visit in the Republic of Tatarstan industrial and investment potential of RT was being presented to the guests. The guests were informed about condition of bilateral economic cooperation of the RT and Ireland. On the results of 2008 year the Ireland took 99 places among countries which are commercial partners of RT. On the results of first half-year of 2009 year foreign-trade turnover increased in 7 times and accounted USD 214.8 in comparison with similar period of 2008 year.
Mr. Macdon has noted that he is pleasantly surprised at opportunities of cooperation development with the Tatarstan.
