Technopark “Idea” took part in IV Russia-Singapore Business Forum 2009 (RSBF).

The IV Russia-Singapore Business Forum 2009 was holding from 27 to 29 of September, 2009.  Every year the RSBF gathers the leading statesmen and business elite from Russia and Singapore and also from other Asian countries. It is one of important events in business life of Asia.

The Russia-Singapore Business Forum considerably had been favoring progress in relationship development of those countries for the last four years.

On the results of 2008 year trade balance between Singapore and Russia increased more than 4 times n early USD 3.8 milliard in comparison with USD 0.88 milliard for 2002 year. Mutual interest is caused by several factors: Singapore leads in the sphere of innovation development among countries and regions of the world and also it is most attractive state for business conduct. In turn the Russia is weighty resource-extractive power.

The key subject of discussion of three-day RSBF program was subject of “New global financial architecture” which was attracted attention more than 150 leading Russian entrepreneurs and no fewer representatives of business and policy fromSingapore.

On the 29th of September opening of the Forum began from complimentary address of senior minister of the Singapore Go Chok Tong, and it was attended by presentations and discussion of the Forum speakers. There are first deputy chairman of Russian Government Igor Shuvalov, president and chairman of board of administration of Russian Sberbank, which is the largest bank of East Europe, German Gref, and chairman of board of directors of companies group Troika Dialog Ruben Vardanyan.

Within the bounds of the IV Russia-Singapore Business Forum 2009 general director of the Technopark “Idea” Sergey Yushko took part in program “Science and technology” which was organized by Singapore Agency on science, technology and researches, visited ultra-modern technoparks Fusionpolis and Biopolis, and also participated in work of round table on technologies.

Idea of this forum creation arose at ambassador of Republic of Singapore in the Russian Federation Michael Tei when he was representing his country in the Russia from 2003 to 2008 years. In spite of international relationship development Singaporebusinessmen didn’t well know situation in Russia and feared to invest in this country. It became a reason of the forum creation. “Starting from our first forum RSBF is continuing to establish more and more high plank on achievement of positive effect of relation development between political and business circles of Russia and Singapore. RSBF-2009 numbers more than 50 representatives of business-structure of Asian countries. I hope that the Forum will be reliable platform for usage of all regional opportunities by every participants of the RSBF”, - noticed CEO of the Russia-Singapore Business Forum Michael Tei.
