Uniqueness of the Tech Tour is that mainly foreign investors take part here for the purpose of investing in high technology companies.
In 2009 Tech Tour includes 3 Russian cities: Moscow, Kazan and Tomsk. During 3 days investors were familiarizing with 24 projects from all Russia, 8 of which were presented in Kazan. Besides that 7 high technology projects were presented to investors’ attention hors concours.
Applications for participation in the Tech Tour were considered by Selection committee including the leading representatives of Russian venture market. General director of Technopark “Idea” Sergey Yushko and head of venture projects commercialization department of IVF RT Pavel Korolev represented theRepublic of Tatarstan in the Selection committee. Supervisory board of Tech Tour was formed for rendering support to this action on all stages of its preparation and holding. It included the prime-minister of RT Rustam Minnikhanov, first deputy governor of the Tomsk region Oxana Kozlovskaya, chairman of Supervisory board of the Foundation for assistance to small innovative enterprises in scientific and technical sphere Ivan Bortnik, manage partner of venture fund Almaz Capital , president of the First Russian Tech Tour Alexander Galickiy, CEO of the Russian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association Albina Nikkonen, professor of public institution “Higher economy school” Ivan Rodionov.
We would remind you that the First Russian Tech Tour was held in 2004 in Moscow and St. Petersburg. 20 best Russian high technology projects including Parallels, Acronics, Yandex, ABBYY, were presented to 45 foreign investors. Majority of most interesting and actively developing high technology companies of Russia took interest for participation on the Second RTT.
The European Tech Tour Association (ETT) is organizer of the Russian Tech Tour, independent noncommercial private organization. ETT creates favourable conditions for cooperation between entrepreneurs and leading players of global venture market via countries and trade Tech Tours. Consequently that financing of local hi-tech companies and it’s enter on international markets are come true. During last 6 years ETT successfully were holding more than 30 Tech Tours in 13 countries. For last 2 years Tech Tour were holding in Israel, Denmark, Italy, Switzerland and Norway.
