We introduce you to the companies that have received grants from the Foundation for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises (FASIE). 20 million rubles under the programme “Commercialization” in 2020 was received by the scientific and production enterprise “Implant”. The company develops, manufactures and sells implants for the connection and fusion of bone fractures based on titanium alloys.
With the grant received, the company has developed the product, the advantage of which is the use of polyaxial (axial) fastening technology. The so-called polyaxial threaded connection allows a surgeon to insert the screw under a different (within a certain range) direction necessary in a particular clinical case, for example, for fixing small bone fragments. This solution makes it possible to cope with tasks that are beyond the power of other metal structures currently existing in the world for the surgical treatment of fractures. For example, to create an inter-fracture compression in the fracture zone with the help of special screws. Or position the screw in the spongy bone, focusing on the spoke, reducing violations of the bone structure to a minimum.
The innovative development was created on the basis of data analysis: the company managed to reduce the cost of newly introduced products by 12%. The automation process took place with the use of an integrated system everywhere. Modernization of production allowed keeping the affordable price of the product. Namely, accessibility with high quality and safety is the main competitive factor for the market of medical devices in Russia.
