Today, the March scientific battle ScienceTalks took place in the Technopark “Idea”. In total, 5 speakers presented their works. They told the audience about their scientific developments without formulas and tables, in a simple and accessible language. For example, Marina Grigorieva from Kazan State Energy University presented intelligent energy systems and introduced the role of prosumers in the transformation of this system.
Gulnaz Madiyarova, representing the Kazan National Research Technical University named after A. N. Tupolev, spoke about functional composites in the space industry. Gulnaz with her team have developed a new catalyst for improving elements of instruments that are sent into space.
Svyatoslav Klementyev (Kazan National Research Technological University) said that lectin, as a component of biofilms, can help purify water. He also presented one of his developments to the audience. Linar Sharafutdinov (Kazan State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering) developed his own method of reinforcing load-bearing structures with steel-fiber reinforced concrete.
This method has been used for 3 years at a number of facilities in Ryazan, and now negotiations are underway to introduce it in Nizhnekamsk. Lyaisan Saleeva (Kazan State Medical University) spoke about why people chatter their teeth at night, how harmful it is and how the situation can be corrected. In addition, she has developed dent alveolar models, with which students learn, in particular, to prepare teeth. Now there is already a second version: loose teeth with caries. For her work, Lyaisan received a grant from the Foundation for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises (FASIE).
Following the results the audience chose the best speaker by SMS voting. Lyaisan and Svyatoslav received 13 votes each.
Congratulations!
