The results of the II Annual Republican sectoral competition of innovative projects of young scientists “Science and Business” were summed up.
The competition started on June 29, 2020 and was held in an online format, bringing together students, postgraduates, young scientists from Kazan, Nizhnekamsk, Samara, Perm, Chelyabinsk, and Ulyanovsk. 20 works were completed at the stage of project protection.
All projects were evaluated by an expert jury consisting of Alexandra Kartashova, head of the Innokam Association’s innovation development service, Viktor Nosov, deputy marketing director of “TK Tasma” LLC, Evgenia Pylaeva, head of the economic analysis department of OJSC “Tatneftekhiminvest-holding”, Farida Gainullina, head of the innovation programs development department of the Technopark “Idea”, Galiya Islamova, head of the Integrated Laboratory “NanoAnalytics” of the Kazan National Research Technological University and others.
The prizes were distributed as follows:
The 1st place: Alexander Okruzhnov with a project “Development of a flexible technology for producing a line of brake fluids of various classes” with cash prize - 30,000 rubles.
The 2nd place: Dilyara Sadykova with a project “Development of a recipe for environmentally friendly biodegradable PVC material based on renewable raw materials for use in the production of floor coverings” with cash prize - 20,000 rubles.
The 3rd place: Alsu Khasanova with a project “Development of polymer composite materials for innovative products in the automotive industry” with cash prize - 10,000 rubles.
Cash prizes were provided by Technopark “Idea”.
A semifinal event under the program “UMNIK” of the Foundation for Assistance to Innovation was held as part of the competition. 15 projects went to the final of the contest “UMNIK” and will compete for a grant of 500 thousand rubles (for two years) in November of the current year.
The participants received feedback on projects from representatives of enterprises of the Republic of Tatarstan and took part in two workshops from the creator of the innovative accelerator in the format of the television reality show “Business Mentor” Tatyana Terentyeva (Perm) and the head of the innovation development service of the Innokam Association Alexandra Kartashova.
The competition “Science and Business” is held by Kazan National Research Technological University (KNRTU), Nizhnekamsk Institute of Chemistry and Technology “KNRTU”, Kama Innovation Territorial and Production Cluster and the Technopark “Idea”, which also provided funding for the prizes of the competition.
