Features of growing artificial meat, methods of printing human organs and features of working with stem cells were discussed at a popular science event in the Technopark “Idea”.
The event called “Medicine of the Future is already in Kazan” attracted dozens of enthusiastic and interested citizens: students, schoolchildren and simply interested parents.
The participants were addressed by experts, including Professor of the Department of Genetics, Kazan Federal University, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Ph.D. (University of Nevada Reno, USA), Honorary Professor of Fundamental Medicine, University of Nottingham (Great Britain) Albert Rizvanov, General Director of ООО “ArtMit” Askar Latyshev, Senior Researcher, Candidate of Biological Sciences Elena Zakirova and participant of the summer school of the Finnish Institute of Molecular Medicine (Helsinki) Maria Abyzova.
At the end of each performance, scientists answered questions from the audience. Concluding the meeting, private entrepreneurs thanked the speakers for their interesting contribution to the world of science and suggested holding such events more often.
