On the 13th of May, 2008 the conference “Innovative perspectives of the Youth of the Third millennium” was held for students and graduates of institutes of higher education. The organizers of the conference were International youth and students’ organization AIESEC, Technopark “Idea” and Kazan International Institute of Management LINK. This conference became a symbolic event, indicating perspectives of innovative development of Russian youth for the nearest years of the third millennium.
Over a hundred of delegates from different institutes of higher education met with Republic governing élite as represented by Committee of State Council of RT for economy, innovations and entrepreneurship, Galeev Marat, Deputy Minister of informatization and communication of RT, Yusupov Rashid, and also Deputy Minister of economy of Rt, Gubaeva Nailya. Representatives of the government body emphasized that at present the republic is still in necessity of highly skilled personnel. Particularly sharp issue about benefits for youth in the sphere of job placements was raised: at present authorities intend to form labour-market with congenial competition, that’s why officials exclude every form of youth support in the job placement sphere.
Reduced enthusiasm of participants of the conference after such statements was raised over again by representatives of large companies as represented by PricewaterhouseCoopers, Alpary, ABAK, R-Telecom. Within the framework of plenary part of the conference they spoke about possibilities of job placements and perspectives of career growth in their companies. The company HeadHunter shared its results of Tatarstan labour-market investigations specially conducted for the conference. And personnel agency Ancor spoke about concrete steps, which are necessary to undertake while job searching.
At the closing part of the event trainings for efficient interviewing, leadership motivation and business games and “round-tables” on denoted subject matter were conducted for the guests of the conference.
The conference assisted the youth in understanding realities of new time, supplied with information about infrastructure agents, about new educational technologies and systems of professional education, favouring uninterrupted career growth.
