State Corporation “Rosatom” together with the Foundation “Skolkovo” launched the competition “Vector” for startups to find projects and partners that will receive support from the Corporate Venture Fund of the State Corporation “Rosatom” and the Foundation “Skolkovo”.
The competition “Vector” is the open international competition of innovative projects in priority areas of SC “Rosatom”.
The purpose of the Competition is to develop the innovation environment by increasing the number of high-tech projects of interest to venture investments by SC “Rosatom”, as well as for the development of new high-tech markets based on the potential of the nuclear industry.
Tasks of the Competition:
• rendering assistance and support of the most promising innovative projects through the Corporate Venture Fund of SC “Rosatom”, financing mechanisms and setting up joint ventures;
• strengthening the links between large business and start-ups, creating cooperatives;
• preparing and identifying the best personnel for integration into the structural subdivisions of SC “Rosatom”;
• monitoring of the leading directions and solutions included in the product lines of SC “Rosatom”;
• maintaining the status of SC “Rosatom” as one of the global technological leaders;
• creating a database of promising innovative projects and developments.
Within the framework of the Competition, projects are selected in the following areas: additive technologies; digital platforms; engineering of complex energy structure; robotics; energy stores; power systems based on high-temperature superconductors; composite materials; pure water; artificial intelligence.
The competition is held in partnership with Russian and international companies, whose activities are directly related to the creation and sale of high-tech products and services in the field of application.
Business representatives, start-ups, entrepreneurs, scientists, students, graduate students, teams and individual participants from 18 years are invited to participate in the Contest.
Acceptance of applications for participation in the Contest will continue until January 15, 2018.
