A meeting of the Adviser to the General Director of the Foundation for Assistance of Innovation Ivan Bortnik, representative of the Foundation in the Republic of Tatarstan, acting rector of the Kazan National Research Technological University Sergey Yushko with schoolchildren and students- winners of Olympiads, graduates of the Educational Center “Sirius”, students of the “University of Talents” was held on September 21, 2017 in the Technopark “Idea”.
The event was held in the framework of the Forum of Small and Medium-sized Entrepreneurship “A Look into the Future”.
Talented youth learned about what kind of help it can get from the Foundation and what ideas are the most promising for the development of science and society.
According to the Adviser to the General Director of the Foundation for Assistance of Innovation Ivan Bortnik, the support is a grant in the amount of 500 thousand rubles, which will be paid within two years. Directions, according to which scientists can submit applications, correspond to the trends set by the National Technological Initiative. These are Information Technologies, Future Medicine, Modern Materials and Technologies for its Creation, New Instruments and Hardware Complexes, and Biotechnologies. At the final stage of the selection, experts will assess the science-intensive and technological nature of the presented idea, the prospects for implementing the project and the qualifications of the participant.

The Educational Center “Sirius” in the city of Sochi was created by the Educational Foundation “Talent and Success” on the basis of the Olympic infrastructure on the initiative of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. The Fund was established on December 24, 2014 by outstanding Russian figures of science, sports and art.
The center is open all year round. Travel and stay for children is free of charge at the Center. Monthly 600 children aged 10-17 years from several dozen regions of Russia come in the “Sirius”. They are accompanied by more than 100 teachers and coaches, raising their qualifications in the Center. Leading teachers of sports, physical-mathematical, chemical-biological schools, as well as outstanding figures of Russian art in the field of academic music, classical ballet and fine arts conduct the training. The educational program is designed for 24 days and includes both classes in the specialty, and developing leisure, master classes, creative meetings with recognized professionals in their fields, a set of recreational procedures, and during the school year general education.
