More than 60 young robot technicians from different regions of Tatarstan brought together on the eve of children’s day in Technopark “Idea”. Young but already experienced members of the robotics festival competed in such categories as “Racing by Line”, “Sumo. Maneuvering”, “Kegelring-Quadro” and “Creative category: robots for people”.
Creative category is of special interest, in which students will represent robots or robotic systems that have managed to become a part of our everyday lives, able to perform different kind of task for people who are active assistants in human activity.
For example, 13-year-old Artur Lukyanov from Naberezhnye Chelny has developed a smart elevator, which prevents smoking in an elevator. “When a person starts to smoke in the elevator, the elevator stops, takes a picture and sends a message to the police. Somebody often smokes in our elevator, and this smell is unpleasant and harmful. I wanted to prevent it and I created this project in about three months. Now I want to implement it”, – said Arthur.
Bulat Abrarov (12 years) from Kazan created a robot “Moidodyr”. “The robot goes in the specified direction. If it sees an obstacle, it turns 180 degrees, but if it bumps into the corner, it stops. Its task is to go the snake and to clean any surfaces. I designed it about three lessons”, – said Bulat Abrarov (12 years).
According to the results of competitions prize-winning places were distributed as follows:
Category “Sumo. Maneuvering”:
1st place – Makulovskiy secondary school of Verkhneuslonsky district;
2nd place – Kuralovskiy secondary school of Verkhneuslonsky district;
3rd place – Казанское Суворовское военное училище.
Category “Racing by Line”:
1st place – Kazan Suvorov Military School;
2nd place – Center of children’s technical creativity “Fakel”, Kazan;
3rd place – School with in-depth study of English language No. 18 of Vakhitovsky district, Kazan.
Category “Kegelring-Quadro”:
1st and 2nd place – Kazan Suvorov Military School;
3rd place – Children’s Technopark Kvantorium, Naberezhnye Chelny.
“Creative category”:
1st place - Children’s Technopark Kvantorium, Naberezhnye Chelny;
2nd place – Kazan Suvorov Military School;
3rd place – Center for Design and Robotics of Innovative Technopark “Idea”.
