A final of the V National Championship “Young Professionals” (WorldSkills Russia) was being held in Krasnodar from May 15 to May 19, 2017.
This year the Russian National Final of the professional skills competition has become one of the largest in the world. 1,300 participants and 1,600 experts gathered at 56 thousand square meters of the exhibition complex “Expograd South”. Representatives from all 85 regions of the Russian Federation took part in the competition for the first time. Over what happened in the pavilions were watched by more than 150 thousand spectators, only on the first day of competitions the championship site was visited by more than 42 thousand schoolchildren.
Students of technical schools and colleges, schoolchildren and young specialists competed in 109 competencies in IT, design, construction, services and industrial production. The competence of “Laser Technologies” was represented by the resident of the Technopark “Idea” - the Laser Center of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The competence of “Laser Technologies”, which was introduced in 2015 and developed by the Laser Center, is presented in the section FutureSkills - the championship of future competencies, which do not yet have approved standards. “Every year, the testing of knowledge and skills of students in vocational schools becomes more complicated, so that students are closer to their profession. The geography of the regions where regional championships are held is also expanding”, - said Nikolay Nasonov, the chief expert of the competence of Laser Technologies of the WorldSkills Russia Union, the General Director of the Laser Center of the Republic of Tatarstan.
It should be noted that for the first time pupils of laserquantums and children’s technoparks participated in the championship, included in the “New model of additional education of children”.
“We have a lot of work to do for the next championship year: to certify the created by us WorldSkills Russia specialized center for laser technologies, to develop documentation and conduct a demonstration exam in accordance with WorldSkills Russia standards, to organize specialized corporate and industry championships, to start developing professional standards”, - explained Nikolay Nasonov. “In addition, we will support a number of new federal projects that popularize laser and laser-related children, quantum and additive technologies, in which we are involved”, - he said.
