Today Regional Championship JuniorSkills has started in Kazan. The championship brings together more than 200 participants (aged 10-17) who will compete in 25 competencies: prototyping, mobile robotics, mechatronics and others. The competition is held in 9 venues: the Kazan Fair, Kazan Technical School of Information Technology and Communication, etc.
The best in the nominations “Laser technology” and “Engineering design” are revealed in Technopark “Idea”. In total, about 50 participants bring together in Technopark. The best of the best will be determined within three days. A winner of the republic stage of the championship will represent Tatarstan at the All-Russian JuniorSkills.
11-year-old Il'fat Bagaviev from the village Bol’shie Kaybitsy (Kaybitsky district) last year became the winner of the regional stage of JuniorSkills. This year the competition is higher, he said, but he sure that the knowledge that has been given to him will help him to show good result.
These days side-by-side with future professionals for engineering design the best in laser technology also are revealed in the Technopark. For three days the participants will model the necessary parts and then cut it on the laser machines.
Recall, JuniorSkills is the program of early vocational guidance, basic of vocational training and competitions of students in professional skills. The program was initiated in 2014 by the Foundation of Oleg Deripaska “Vol’noe Delo” in partnership with WorldSkillsRussia with the support of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. The program JuniorSkills received support at the level of the RF President: in his addresses to the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation in 2014 and 2015, he noted the success of juniors and superiority of Russia in conducting such competitions, as well as proposed to unite the JuniorSkills and WorldSkills competitions in the Championships system “Young professionals” (order of the President dated 8 December 2015). By order of the President of the Russian Federation from September 21, 2015 Championships JuniorSkills were included in the strategic initiative “New model of system of additional education of children”.
