The regional championship on standards JuniorSkills will start in Kazan on February 1, 2017. It is expected that the championship will bring together more than 200 participants (aged 10-17) who will compete in 25 competencies: prototyping, mobile robotics, mechatronics and others. The competition will be held in 9 venues: the Kazan Fair, Kazan Technical School of Information Technology and Communication, etc.
The best in the nominations “Laser technology” and “Engineering design” will be revealed in Technopark “Idea”. In total, about 50 participants will bring together on this site.
The General Director of the Laser Center of the Republic of Tatarstan (a resident of Technopark “Idea”) Nikolay Nasonov is the main expert of the Worldskills movement: “Laser technology is a request of modern society. Children and adults take great interest in it. So in 2015, we filed a request to the technical committee of WorldSkills to include the skill “Laser technology”. The application was approved and from that moment the best experts in the field of laser technology are identified in the championship. On WorldSkills Russia we support as adult participants and a program of early vocational guidance and the foundations of professional training of JuniorSkills students. So this time we will take the young people of Tatarstan on our platform”.
“Today, laser technology is one of the few competencies that we did not miss the technological leadership. Laser technologies are widely used in many applications ranging from space operations to control thermonuclear fusion, medicine, etc. It is a step in the breakthrough quantum and additive technology, so it is important to teach children laser technology, – said Nikolay Nasonov and admitted the possibility that this competence will be international. – In cooperation with the leadership of the movement WorldSkills Russia we are working on the issue to the purview of “Laser technology” has become international. To become competence the international it is need to organize it in 5 countries. We are now studying this question. It would be great to have technological competence, which is initiated by our local company, in 2019 at the WorldSkills in Kazan”.
Recall, JuniorSkills is the program of early vocational guidance, basic of vocational training and competitions of students in professional skills. The program was initiated in 2014 by the Foundation of Oleg Deripaska “Vol’noe Delo” in partnership with WorldSkillsRussia with the support of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. The program JuniorSkills received support at the level of the RF President: in his addresses to the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation in 2014 and 2015, he noted the success of juniors and superiority of Russia in conducting such competitions, as well as proposed to unite the JuniorSkills and WorldSkills competitions in the Championships system “Young professionals” (order of the President dated 8 December 2015). By order of the President of the Russian Federation from September 21, 2015 Championships JuniorSkills were included in the strategic initiative “New model of system of additional education of children”.
