Students of Kazan institutes of higher education were told of how to do business well.

A round-table discussion on the topic of “The basic principles of science intensive ideas commercialization”with participation of students of Kazan leading institutes: KSU, KSTU and KSFEI - was carried out in Technopark “IDEA”.

The most active students agree that such seminar is worth to be held. The subject on innovative business development was also discussed in detail at the V Congress of students ofTatarstan Republic in October 2007.  There was section “Business and innovation” within the Congress on the basis of Kazan State Financial-Economic Institute (KSFEI). The number of problems, suppressing students to implement their business-projects, was found out.

The Director-General of Technopark “IDEA” Sergey Yushko told students of Technopark activities, projects realized and practice of incubating of small innovative companies. 

While speech, he told in detail about the Republic programs of innovative projects supporting, in particular, about the Program “IDEA-1000” (the Program is held jointly by Technopark “IDEA”, The Foundation for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises (FASIE) and Innovative-venture Fund of Tatarstan Republic.

It was found out that most of students are aware of this contest, but only few of them has take part in it. Some students were afraid that their ideas would be stolen; others were not satisfied with amount of grants.

Thanks to the round-table, students could get the detailed answers of all interested questions and know a lot about Program “IDEA-1000”. 

It should be mentioned, that “IDEA-1000” is carried out for the second time. 33 projects were supported within the Program in 2006; the total amount of investment to these projects is $1 120 000.

It is planned to hold some more seminars, dedicated to the basic principles of innovative business and development of small business in the Republic of Tatarstan.
